Her is a link to the coolest thing I have ever seen on a softball field!! Sportsmanship at its finest!!!!!
It's more than a sport more like a passion, red dirt and bruises are in fashion. The wind up, the pitch, scrambling defence, this is what softball is all about. Intense parents in the stands anxious coaches waving their hands, the swing of the bat, the ball the bases, the glove. This is the game I love. It's My Life.~the

Pepin/Alma........................0-3-0-0-0-0-0........3-5-2 Spring Valley/PC................0-0-3-0-0-2..........5-9-5 LP Breanna Ellison......6IP 12K's 3BB 0ER Leading Hitters......Breanna Ellison 2-4 Ali Murray 1-2 2BB Sloppy Defense and not executing all the little things in a softball game is what got us tonight.......We don't make excuses.....We got beat and Spring Valley beat us......Simple as that.....But neither team tonight recorded an earned run! That is not a good thing this time of year........(or any time of year for that matter).....The good thing is that it is simple little things that can be fixed.........But we better fix them right now and stop doing some of the silly stuff right now! 1 game left and then the regular season is over and the regional tournament starts.....That is when all the little mistakes are really exposed.......I am confident that we will clean it up......We are after all a very good softball team and I am sure that the girls will respond! Mikaela and Kayla will not be playing in the last game on Monday....They both need time to rest and let their bodies heal.......They are both a little upset with that decision but that's the way it is........We need to be thinking big picture here and the Elmwood game means nothing......This will give them ample time to get back to 100%
Isn't this a bad ass senior picture of Micky! Very cool senior pic.! Love it!
Pepin/Alma...........................0-0-2-0-6-5......................................12-11-1 Elmwood...............................0-2-0-0-0-0-0....................................2-4-5 WP Breanna Ellison 6IP 7K's 1BB 2ER Leading Hitters for the Eagles: Lara Bacon 3-4.....Ali Murray 1-2 Double 2BB RBI......Tasha Heit 1-1 Double........Kaie Kujak 2-3 RBI........Tana Prokosch 2-4 Triple BB RBI Conference Record 15-1 Overall 17-3...... How on earth does that season go by that fast........It is hard to believe that the regular season is over and now it is time for regionals! My God it seems like just yesterday that Hannah was clobbering Poor Emma over the head with an easton synergy! That was not funny at the time or even now.......That hurt like a bitch and our practices got a lot more spread out after that happened...........Poor Emma wans't even sure if she wanted to go out just a few days before that..........Getting smoked in the mellon with a 22 ounce composite easton synergy was not gonna help her head coaches chances of getting her to stay out! That is not the right avenue to take to try to convince a young lady that going out for softball is a great idea.... This has been another great season and of course our 1st 1 as the Lady Eagles.......What were some of the challenges for me going into this season? Well 1st thing was that now we had 2 groups of girls from 2 schools that would be playing for the same team for the 1st time........The 1 good thing was that a lot of them had already been playing basketball together for a few years and it wasn't like I was starting with a bunch of girls that didn't even know each other...........I had never had a team with 2 squads.......A varsity and a full JV.........Choosing those teams was certainly going to have its interesting moments.......Although I think we as coaches hit it right on the head with that! I did not know how good the Varsity team would gel together as 1 cohesive unit! That to me was going to be the biggest challenge..........I knew that it was going to be a talented team on paper..........But how was I going to get them to all really enjoy each other on a daily basis?? I think that it has worked out incredibly well........I have not seen any big issues that would destroy a teams chemistry at all.........They have all embraced the "Lady Eagles Fastpitch" program and it has been fun to watch them on the field practicing and in the games and on the buses and when we go to places to eat after road games..........You would never know that there is 2 communities being represented.........They all look like 1 big happy family to me! Don't forget that next Tuesday night at Haines Field the ladies start their post season in a regional semi-final game against the very good Independence/Gilmanton Indees......They will be more than happy to send us packing with a loss if we do not prepare properly over the next week.......They will present a big challenge and we will have to be at our best to have a chance!
